Hi

Does anyone about Happy Xmas (War Is Over) being released in green vinyl with a picture sleeve, how many there were etc.

My Dad had one and gave it to me.

US release of John and Yoko/Plastic Ono Band w/ Harlem Community Choir single "Happy Xmas (War is Over)/Listen, the Snow Is Falling" (Apple). Released on green vinyl. The flip side is by Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band.

November 24, 1972
UK release of John Lennon/Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band w/ Harlem Community Choir single "Happy Xmas (War is Over)/Listen, the Snow is Falling" (Apple). Issued on green vinyl. The flip side is a Yoko Ono song. 6 weeks on the charts; highest position #4.

Well, I'm not sure if the green vinyl version of "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" has a picture sleeve or not. I know that the original stock black vinyl copies did come with a p/s, but I don't know if the green vinyl version was ever sold with one. The copy of the green vinyl version I have does not have a p/s. Then again, that's probably why I only paid $8 for my copy.

Yep, you're right! I looked at my price guide (I admit that I was too lazy to fish it out, last night), and there is a p/s listed for both the black and green vinyl versions. I'll keep my eye out for it!
