You may know I'm Mandy Fly Me by 10CC.

There is a similar phase in both tracks.

#9 dream; when the instrumental badge after a cowa cowa poussee (or however that is written)

Mandy; same before - I saw her walking on the corner.

i remember that song, but enough to compare.
i thought 10cc was the american beatles because of their harmonies and variety in styles
if 10cc's Greatest Hits is still available, it's a must listen to all Beatle fans

Eric Stewart didn't form part of Wings. He collaborated with several songs on the "Press To Play" Paul solo album. And Paul did write "Don't Break The Promise" for 10CC's "Mirror Mirror" album.

I haven't heard "Mandy" though.

Is it over now?

They were from Manchester. Their albums One Night In Paris, How Dare You and Deceptive Bands do come close to e.g. Abbey Road.
