Well is there any word from the Lennono camp since the onslaught of last week? I know that Sean has been spending the summer on Yoko's farm... How is Yoko? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/kiss2.gif

Good question... I don't have an answer to that one. Does anyone else have a clue?

I haven't heard anything, but I've been hoping & praying that Yoko & Sean weren't in lower Manhattan 6 days ago. I'd like to hear word that they're ok, too!

The Dakota is actually on the Upper West Side, well away from the attack. Susan/Nipper says it's eeriely normal up there, so I'm assuming Yoko and Sean are OK. (And Sean had better be OK; otherwise, there go my fanfics about his descendants down the drain. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/wink1.gif )

I haven't heard anything specific, though last I heard Sean did not live at home at the Dakota anymore, but downtown someplace. Of course, unless he lives in Battery Park City (doubtful) he was probably not directly impacted by any of the events. And I think if he was among the missing or anything, we'd know by now, frankly. I have no idea if Yoko was home or not at the time, nor whether she is now.
The following story, however, was posted on another list:
**************
A New York peace garden memorial to John Lennon has become a shrine to
victims of the terrorist attacks.
Hundreds of people have visited Strawberry Fields in Central Park to light a
candle and lay floral tributes.
The memorial was created by John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono after the former
Beatle was assassinated in New York in 1980.
According to the icLiverpool website, one message signed by 'Lauren of NYC'
read: "Afghanistan is the first country on the list of countries that have
endorsed this space. That is all I have to say."
Another elderly visitor said the garden had become a focus for peace.
A neighbour of Yoko Ono said: "She knows that John would be horrified by the
extent of this horrible violence."

That's lovely about the garden!
(Sean keeps an apartment in Los Angeles, actually, but has been long term visiting NY I hear...) http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/kiss2.gif

I'm sure they are both fine and that there's no reason to worry.

I know that Yoko must be okay. On today's edition of "Inside Edition" (one of our news shows) they said that Yoko had given them permission to use one of John's songs for their broadcasst. The song, of course, was "Imagine". I have a feeling it's going to be getting tons of airplay for quite a while.

Yes, I'm sure they are fine. Like HMVNipper stated, if something was wrong, we'd have heard about it by now.

Yeah, I'm not really too worried. I know where the Dakota is in respect to the WTC area. I was sure they were ok.
I'm just thinking of everyone throughout the world these days, but especially those I know of in NYC.
