Did you know Yoko nearly DIED having Sean?
There were complications, they had to induce labor,Yoko hemmoraged, and thus Sean had to be delivered via C-Section to save his and Yopko's lives.

Oh, good thing it worked out all right. I never knew that.

I think the doctor attending Yoko was more interested in talking to John than doing his job, much to John's ire. The price of fame, as he put it...

I remember reading that somewhere. I don't know what John would have done if they both had died.

I remember hearing the bit about the doctor, something like he asked John for his autograph instead of attending to Yoko immediately and John nearly decked the guy...not that I blame him, I think my husband would've done the same if MY doctor hadn't paid attention to me when I was giving birth...and I was in nowhere NEAR as dangerous condition as Yoko was!!

Geez, if they'd died, poor John would've gone off the deep end, I think...

Yeah, if they had died John would have probably cracked...well at least I expect so. I mean so many people he loved left or got killed during his life, Yoko and Sean dying could have been the last straw.

Wow!! I had no idea... sorry to dig up an old post... I just thought this was interesting.

I too agree, if Yoko and Sean had died, John would have lost it.

I remember hearing about this back when Sean was born. I'm glad everything worked out ok...

It was told in Lennon biography by Ray Coleman. Yoko was in the same room where Jackie Kennedy gave birth to Caroline.

As for John, yeah I agree- he would have been devastated, not just one loss but two- a baby and his wife!

Wow, that would be pretty awful for John if they'd both died.

I didn't know that ('til just now, of course).

They had a lot of trouble having a child. They lost a couple of babies before Sean managed to emerge into the world.

Luckily, Sean and Yoko emerged alive and well and luckily we don't have to agonize over a dreadful what if that never happened.

Interesting fact about Caroline and Sean being born in the same hospital room. That was something I had not known until now.

Ohh, I hadn't known this bit of information. I did know, however, that they had lost many babies before Sean.

Thank goodness nothing happened of the sort. I can only imagine how terrible it would have been for John. After all, he cared for Yoko so much. It would have drove John mad, I reckon.
