It's a hard choice, but my vote is for "Woman."

No hard choice about what to do now that I'm a Day Tripper--time to http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/dance.gif!

Congrats, "Woman"... That's a beautiful, very romantic song. Our English teacher at school made the girls in our class translate the words to it, just to find out the beauty and sincerity of them. Great song. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Anyway... What was your original candidate? Mine was "Mother", but then it was dropped... Then it was "#9 Dream" but it was dropped... And between those two I prefered "Watching The Wheels"...

But this game showed how good John's music is... It was very hard to just "get rid" of the songs when most of them have their own charm and beauty, and are a treasure of popular music.

I agree darkhorse. I had lots of fun with this. It made me stop and think about them, hard! What a genius. As I mentioned before somewhere on this topic, at least half of them are a 'very close call'.

My choices:
1) Imagine
2) Starting Over
3) Woman

Thanks for your adjudication, mindgames. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/hammer2.gif

I originally thought "Imagine" to be the eventual winner. But I am glad it was "Woman", my favorite solo Lennon song. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Oh yes, please! I would like to do one for George!! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup.gif But to get more people to participate I think we might need to go back in time to 'Best of GH'. I notice most Beatle people generally are more familiar with his older work.
(Maybe darkhorse or FPSHOT will set it running for us.)
