If John were still alive today (61 years old!), do you still see him as being a force in the music world or would he have slipped back into seclusion again?

Technically, John would only be 60 at this point and time. His birthday still being 6 months away. I'd like to think that he would still be involved in the recording business. Whether making records or producing them, he'd still make his presense known.

I think he would continue to take music into a new direction. I think boy groups wouldn't be as popular for some reason.

Of course, he would be in his 61st year of being...

60 or 61... whatever! (getting to be a Babe Ruth/Roger Maris explanation here...)

I think join would've joined Sean on some of HIS work, possibly even producing the albums. I don't know if he would have done the same with Julian.

It would have been interesting to have heard John's comments when Linda passed away or his comments when the Beatles were inducted into the Rock Hall Of Fame.

This week, the Beatles' greatest hits album, "1", is at number twenty-six on the USA album charts.

I think he would still be recording... Maybe helping Ringo, George or Sean out in their own projects. But always inspiring everyone else. The world misses him. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/cry.gif

I dunno, but it's fun to think about. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I think family would've still come first. I'd like to think that he would've continued his relationship with Sean & perhaps reconciled more with Julian.

I'd also like to believe that he would've made more music for us to enjoy over the years.

That would be my dream.

Interesting topic - I'd like to think he'd continue with music in some way or another, most likely as a producer. I would also guess that he would have continued with his writing. Perhaps another book or two of poetry????

I think a lot of the comments made before are pretty good -- he'd probably still be working in music, maybe writing, and I also have a feeling he'd just LOVE http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/bouncing.gif the internet! I'd also like to have heard his comments about all the interest in the Beatles recently...I have a feeling he'd enjoy it on the one hand, but on the other, he'd wonder what the heck was WRONG with people that they have nothing better to do! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

I don't think John really lost interest in making records... I think he discovered "life is what happens while you're busy making other plans" and decided to give life a chance...

We'll never know...unfortunately... Especially since John was unpredictable to say the least.

What I'm wondering about though, if he had lived, would we have had a Beatles reunion (e.g. The Anthology) ?

I really think they would have. In fact, it probably would have been a lot earlier than '95.
