In some songs such as How Do You Sleep and Working Class Hero; John seems to be angry.
But who were these angry words meant for?
Some people think John was angry at paul.
Some have other ideas of who these angry works of art were directed at.Me,My sis
ster and my best friend really adore John(especially my sister).Whats your opinion on these songs and who do you think they were written for.
P.S.
HAVE LOVE ALWAYS IN YOUR HEART FOR THE WORKING CLASS HERO

IT WAS SOMETHING TO BE

In "How Do You Sleep", John was directing his anger at Paul.
"Those freaks were right when they said you was dead..."

In "Working Class Hero", he wanted it to have that "folk" sound and make it relate to all the working stiffs of the world. And as for the cursing, he said, "It just fit."

Thats so John!! I think John was upset a lot about the things that were going on during that time. The war, the Breakup and all of that, so all of that probably ended up in his music. I think John's solo work was so incredible.

Didn't John say later that all that anger was really directed at himself?

Yeah, he did, but that was a retrospective thought - after the fact, if you will. His driving force at the time was anger/jealousy towards Paul.

OK, here goes, my take on this subject is that John's anger was really directed at his parents, who, lets face it, really let him down badly, thats why Yoko managed to get such a tight grip on his affections, he saw in her the strong mother figure that he missed so much. He only really got angry at Paul becuase he too left him, John couldnt really deal with people going away, and especially those he loved, because it seemed all his life that people he loved just left him.He really loved Paul after all was said and done.

Deep eh?
