A rare postcard signed in Staffordshire by all four Beatles fetched £3,525 when it went under the hammer at Christie's in London.
The black and white postcard, illustrated with a picture of the Fab Four in white shirts and dark ties, was autographed in Tamworth 40 years ago.
It had been expected to fetch between £3,000 and £5,000 and was bought by an anonymous bidder at a pop auction.
The Beatles signed the postcard when they performed at Tamworth Assembly Rooms on February 1, 1963 - the year they had their first number one hit From Me to You.
Christie's pop memorabilia expert Sarah Hodgson said: "This is rare because it is very early, 1963, and quite an unusual postcard - not many have survived from that period."
Paul McCartney gave his autograph in blue ink on the Parlophone Records publicity postcard.
John Lennon, Ringo Starr and George Harrison - who added two kisses - used a blue ballpoint pen.
In 1963 From Me to You went to number one on May 2, and stayed there for seven weeks.
The Beatles completed a hat-trick that year when She Loves You and I Want to Hold Your Hand also made the number one spot.
Fans were given the chance to see McCartney when he performed many of the group's hits at two sell-out shows at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena last month.
The sale follows the auction of a rare 211-year-old Tamworth banknote which fetched £805.
The black and white three-penny bill, which went under the hammer at Spink auction house in London, had been expected to fetch between £200 and £300.
It was produced by the Poor Isaacs Bank in Tamworth in 1792 during the reign of King George III and has a picture of the town's castle on it.
