Just an FYI...
Jerry Rubin passed out flyers last Friday about John's flower vigil held on his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this coming Sunday. It's located across from the Capitol Records building on Hollywood & Vine. There's sure to be a large crowd, so if you want to go, you should go early. Chris Carter is scheduled to broadcast his show, Breakfast with the Beatles, live until noon. From there, he'll head to Liverpool Days, where he's scheduled to DJ. I plan on dropping by there to pay my respects to John and then go to L-Days from there.

I'm dreaming of a White Album, just like the ones I use to know..

Wow, what a nice tribute to John! I saw one of our new linkers there, Donnamariemoreno, whom I met at George's vigil just several days ago. I saw many of the same faces in the crowd and Jerry Rubin was there again. They had people singing live, one that stood out was this young woman who wrote this heartwarming song about John, just after his death. She was in Strawberry Fields in NYC and wrote this lovely song called "Dear John". There wasn't a dry eye in the crowd. We all banded together and sang along with the John songs KLSX was playing and the British dj, whose name I can't recall right now, was such a cool guy. It was an emotional roller coaster. We laughed and we cried. It was a very moving tribute. I'm glad I was there and it was good seeing you again, Donnamarie! Maybe you can share your memories of this as well. images/icons/smile.gif
