Hi, all....went to the art exhibit in Newton, MA on Friday night. I was there an hour after it started, so it wasn't all that crowded yet. There were pieces lining the walls all around and a few tables of smaller peices in the middle. Mostly everything was for sale, including the "Real Love" book ($12) and t-shirts ($25) and sweatshirts ($45), etc. I can list all the pieces if anyone wants to know (I have the little program they handed out) and the prices.
There was only one original piece (I can't remember which it was, it may have been from the Bag One series), and there were six new, never-shown-before pieces.
My favourite things were the songs written out....I saw "Day Tripper" and i started to cry. I don't know why. I didn't want anyone to see me, so i looked at all the other songs with teary eyes. Little guitars were hanging up by the songs, too.
And a video screen was playing different videos. I looked over and saw John doing "Instant Karma" - more tears, so i left.
I got to see everything, but i didn't expect to be so overwhelmed. I thought i might make it back again this weekend, but i didn't. I did join a mailing list for updates, etc.

oh, my fave piece was from 1964, the inside page of "In His Own Write," which could be had for $22,000.
