The August '02 issue of Record Collector reportedly includes this teasing quote:
"A huge digital overhaul of the Beatles' back catalogue is reported in the offing, with a new VHS and DVD Video of 'Let It Be', an as-natured-intended version of 'Get Back' - before it became 'Let It Be' - and fresh Surround Sound editions of other Beatles classics. EMI is preparing Surround Sound editions of most of the Fab Four's back catalogue, although details about future releases on CD or DVD Audio haven't been finalized. This should commence in 2003, with deluxe versions of 'Please Please Me' and 'With The Beatles' possibilities for 30th anniversary reissues."

I would definately buy the original Get Back - I don't much like Let It Be as it is -What do they mean by deluxe versions of Please Please Me and With The Beatles? - do they add more material onto the album? If not, I wouldn't spend the money to get all the albums in remastered quality...I mean I'm a huge Beatle Fan...but those cd's are alot more expensive now than they were six or seven years ago!

I won't beleive it until I see it in my hand.
Luv,I believe what is meant is that the stereo and mono of the first 2 will be on a CD together (I.e. Stereo PPM/mono PPM on 1 CD).

Here's a little add-on from Abbeyrd Beatle's Page:
"And get this: The article also claims that Apple is working on a "Let It Be" sessions album, but "Apple researchers have failed to locate the missing mono reel-to-reel tapes that captured the complete January 1969 album sessions and may have to resort to unofficial sources." We'll believe that one when we see it."

Let's hope The Fabs get back to No. 1 with these new releases, where they belong. They'll show these kids a thing or two about durability.
