Amazon.com shows George's book of lyrics, "I Me Mine," to be reissued in October, though the Chronicle Books site doesn't show a date. The book will have a different cover than the earlier edition and an introduction by Olivia Harrison.

Cool! I was wondering when that was coming out. I had originally heard April 2002! I never realized it was a "lyric" book - I thought it was a regular autobiography. It still sounds interesting, though! And what a cool cover. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup1.gif

I, too, checked it from the library & didn't respond to it at all. I plan to revisit it upon release because I have evolved since then and understand George's music much better. This book is coming just in time for my birthday, and also at the one year anniversary of a tragic event which has been on my mind a bit lately...

I read this book a few years ago when i checked it out of the library. In a word, it's weird. Just my opinion, but George seems rather angry for about half the book. I mean, there are some good things, like the way he covers the songs, but I was very disappointed with it overall.
It came out before John died and he is barely mentioned at all, but the other two are also hardly mentioned.
Lots and lots of stuff on religion, though. I'm not saying the book isn't worth reading. Of course it is - it's the only one George wrote - but....well, we'll discuss it after its release, then?
