I have had a quick look and I couldn't see this posted anywhere... I can't get the exact artical for yer but its from the Sun (Brithish Newspaper) from last saturday (27th July)

It went something like....

A private and secret service for the late George harrison was held by his widow, Olivia Harrison and son Dahni, last wednesday (24th July) for his close friends and relatives. Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Martin were in attendence. George lost his battle against in inoperable form of cancer last November.

I wonder why they'd have such a service now?

I'd like to thank you on behalf of the group, and hope we pass the audition.

Wonder if it's true. Of course, the Sun is a tabloid, isn't it? Like the Enquirer here in the States... so who knows...???

If that report is true, they probably thought that enough time has passed since his death to be able to hold a private sevice for George.

This is textually from "The Sun" newspaper
George pals pay tribute
GEORGE HARRISON’S wife Olivia hosted a secret memorial service for him at their Henley-on-Thames mansion, I can reveal.

Beatles SIR PAUL McCARTNEY and RINGO STARR were among the guests. They were joined by Fab Four producer SIR GEORGE MARTIN at the moving service on Wednesday.

An insider told me: “It was a very sombre occasion with all of George’s friends uniting to talk about their grief.

“Everyone drew comfort from each other and it was a perfect way of remembering George.”

George died in November last year, after suffering from an inoperable form of cancer

Thanks, Miss O'Dell & Joan!! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Hmmm...I believe there could have been a memorial, but this part kinda sounds too tabloid-y to believe. Maybe they got together to have a laugh while sharing happy stories? I think George would have wanted that more.

They might be doing it now, too, because Olivia is putting Friar Park up for sale. They probably all wanted to come there together one last time before it was in the hands of someone else. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif
