NEWLYWED Sir Paul McCartney shows off his beaming new Lady wife to the world — after the two returned from their honeymoon.

The 59-year-old ex-Beatle and Heather, 34, were snapped after a meal at a posh veggie restaurant in Primrose Hill, North London.

The pair, who cruised in the Indian Ocean after last month’s wedding, looked relaxed and happy. They even got a take-out of caper berries.

I'm glad they're not letting the attacks regarding Heather rule their lives. Some people would be afraid to go outside because of them, but they're showing that they don't care and in a way proving that the lies said about Heather are false.

Very cute pic - my only catty comment? If they were at a "posh" restaurant, you'd think that they would dress up more. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif
Anyone know what caper berries are? Sounds interesting.

Capers are the olive-green buds of a bush native to the Mediterranean and some parts of Asia. The buds are picked almost daily -- before they begin to open -- then sun-dried and pickled. In France, capers are classified according to size; the tiniest capers, nonpareilles, are considered to have
the finest, most delicate flavor. Capers add a burst of piquancy to seafood dishes and tomato sauces.

Caper berries, about the size and shape of a grape, are also pickled. Usually sold with the stem still on, these fruits of the caper bush are somewhat starchy and seedy, and have a less-intense flavor than capers. You can eat them like olives or use them as a garnish.

Any size capers are interchangeable in recipes; however, caper berries cannot be substituted. Capers come in jars of brine or packed in salt (rinse salted ones before using) and keep indefinitely in the refrigerator, but make sure the brined capers remain covered in their liquid.

They don't look like they've been on any sort of Indian Cruise. They look rather pale to me.

Thanks MaccaGirl! I knew what capers were, but not caper berries.

Not that we had a long honeymoon, but I definitely recall that what there was of it took place mostly indoors...
