In this month's Mojo magazine Yoko chooses some songs to make a CD of her favourites.
1. Ornette Colman - "Free Jazz"
2. John Cage - "Sonatas VII from Sonatas and Interludes for Prepared
Piano"
3. The Dirty Macs - "Whole Lotta Yoko"
4. The Beatles - "Fool On The Hill"
5. Chuck Berry - "Johnny B. Goode"
6. Frank Zappa - "Peaches En Regalia"
7. Lotte Lenya - "Ballad of Mack The Knife"
8. The B-52's - "Rock Lobster"
9. The Avalanches - "Gimix"
10. Orange Factory - "Open Your Box (Club Mix)
11. Sean Lennon - "Into The Sun"
12. Beastie Boys - "Intergalactic"
13. John Lennon - "Mind Games"
14. Radiohead - "Living In A Glass House"
15. Billie Holiday - "Strange Fruit"
16. Bob Marley - "Get Up, Stand Up"
...
"Do I have a favourite Beatles track? Well... I could name them all. I
think John's stuff when he was a Beatles was very interesting. But I
would get into Paul's stuff too. He's a very talented guy. Fool On The
Hill, for instance - not the most important song he ever wrote, but it's
a beautiful song. It's genuine, there's depth to it. People want to take
sides. If they're into John, they're exclusively into John, but I think
Paul's songs are equally important."

I love that quote from Yoko! It shows how mature she can be.

She did write "Open Your Box."
I thought she would've picked "Imagine."
