View Full Version : John Lennon Jewelry

I know this was brought up earlier but I just saw in People that the new jewelry line has been unveiled. There will be over 70 designs and the cheapest piece will be 49 dollars (a silver ring) and he most expensive 399 dollars (a 14 karat gold bracelet). Ono's rep, Eliot Mintz, says "She feels the line will make people feel good." People.com says the jewelry will be sold at Target, JCPenney, and Bloomingdales in September.
I found the official website here (http://www.johnlennonjewelry.com) but it is still under construction.

I like the ring and the keychain was neat but it's 49 dollars for it which is too much in my opinion for a keychain. And they showed a cuff that was worth 399 dollars and if I had enough money to buy that I'd rather spend it to see Macca when he comes back or go to Beatlefest next year.

HB,
I completely agree. As much as I love the Lennon art, I'd rather see Paul in concert or attend Beatlefest. Mail me to Chicago this summer. How about sending me FedEx?

That's what People called it. That isn't cheap to me but to a magazine that talks about people spending 500 dollars on shoes that is cheap in comparison.

Well that was my plan until I figured out that unless I'm mailed in a box the size of a freezer box I'll be stuck in the position I was molded into during all of Beatlefest.

Have you guys seen any of the jewelry yet?
A friend of mine was lucky enough to attend the 'unvieling party' (if you want to call it that.. lol) at Tavern on the Green a few weeks (days?) ago. She brought me home a souviener bag w/the John Lennon face logo on it. Also showed me some pix of the jewelry, if you like, I could ask her if she'd mind if I posted some pix of it here?

I honestly think john would laugh about this jewelry thing and would find it ridiculous, but isnīt it fascinating? why do we want more and more beatle stuff all the time?
(I never cared being mocked at by carrying a lunchbox to college just because it has a picture of the boys)
does anyone know how much money approx. is spent in the world every year on beatle albums, books, dvdīs, and memorabilia?

If she would allow you it would be nice to see the pictures. All I've seen is a silver cuff bracelet, the imagine ring, and the John Lennon keychain.

Another question for Strawberry: I don't know if you want to say how, but, if you don't mind, how did your friend get into the unveiling?
