It's been put around that Denny Laine is supposed to be there too and they're going to do some recreation of Rockestra. I might be going, but I haven't decided for sure since it's pretty pricey and I'm not that enthralled with any of the lineup....but the tribute band mentioned are friends of mine, so I might go for that reason.

Just a weird concept though....

Well, I heard this thing went very well, but I'm awfully glad I didn't go....I think it would have been WAY depressing after everything that's been going on.

However, I did go to a blues bar Saturday evening to see a friend of mine who's in the tribute band who played in that show and Denny Laine and the Wings horn guys showed up and jammed with the band! It was kind of cool to see people like that in a tiny little blues bar. I could have gotten an introduction, but so many people were schmoozing around that I didn't bother. Denny is really short and wears these weird geek glasses - you know, the kind that hipster kids wear to try to look nerdy? It was...uh...interesting, to say the least!

Considering everything and the unfortunate and sad "Timing" with this event, I hope all went well.
