I am perplexed by conflicting reports surrounding how the Beatles felt about Brian
Epstein. In the Anthology, they only speak with the greatest respect and reverence towards him. In 1999, Paul even referred to Brian as the fifth beatle. However, a year later on BBC news, the beatles reveal that he was secretly after the beatles fortune, keeping all the millions while offereing wages of 50 pounds a week. If anybody can resolve this confusion, it will be greatly appreciated.

From what I know about Brian, he was an honest man, but didn't know that much in the beginning about contracts and bargaining. This means that the Beatles didn't earn as much money on merchandising and in other areas as they could have.

Anyway, I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to move your topic to the Main Discussion so more people will see and respond to it.
