DO YOU WANT TO KNOW A SECRET?

PAUL MCCARTNEY will play a rare live show in LONDON at a limited capacity venue before the end of November, NME.COM has learned.

The gig will be one of a number the former Beatle will undertake in the run-up to Christmas as promotion for new album 'Driving Rain'.

Macca will also play similar sized venues - around 1,500 capacity - in a number of other major European cities. It is unclear if the shows will be used as fundraisers for the victims of the September 11 attacks.

Macca organised the Concert For New York at Madison Square Garden in the city on October 20. And he also rush released the single 'Freedom', written in the aftermath of the attacks, last Monday (November 5). Proceeds will go to New York police and firemen.

A venue for Macca 's London show has not yet been confirmed. One likely spot is the Astoria Theatre, with a capacity of around 2000. It was at the Astoria that U2played a landmark gig earlier this year at the beginning of their 'Elevation' world tour.

I will be in London 26th and 27th, so Paul let me know, maybe I can re-schedule.

leave here
Then nothing 'Sister Mary' can do
Will keep me here with you
As nothing in this life that I've been trying
Can equal of surpass the Art of Dying.

The Astoria must be a great place - I mean, U2, Paul McCartney - how can you beat that?
