Sir Paul McCartney attended Game 2 of the American League Division Series between the New York Yankees and the Oakland A's at Yankee Stadium last night.

I was wondering the same thing. Is he a baseball fan? Poor Heather. I bet she was sitting there the whole time thinking, "Alright, tennis I get, but what the %#@& are we doing here?"

Well, it's possible that Paul's a baseball fan...Linda was American, after all, and from New York...someone on one of my other lists said that apparently he is a Yankees fan.
I bet Heather was bored silly, though...in my experience, it's often really difficult to explain baseball to people who've not grown up on it like Americans have. (I know, I've tried!)

It did look like Paul was enjoying himself. They showed his reactions to some plays.

Maybe he was there to show solidarity with NY. He is in town for his big concert, and they at the stadium constantly honor the firemen and police of NY.

Why question it???
So he went to the game....BIG DEAL!!!!!!

Yeah, glad he enjoyed himself! Although Heather looks a little peeved from that shot, the photographer probably caught her in that pose deliberately as is usually the case. I'm sure she had a great time there too. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup.gif

I heard Paul wore a sweater with a white t-shirt to the game.

As a native New Yorker, it warms my heart that Paul was supporting my home team!

If Paul asked for nuts they'd probably sell you to him.

I have a question... check out that ring on finger #4-left hand! Has Paulie been hiding something? I am asking, is that Linda's one? But I knew that he 'lost' that when he was arrested in Japan for marijuana possesion (you know, gold things). Has anyone got an explanation? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thinker.gif

Paul has been wearing two wedding rings since Linda's death -- his own (which I never heard he lost!) and Linda's.
