A story in Variety says -- and this should be no surprise -- Michael Jackson, as partner in Sony/ATV Productions, which owns the Beatles catalog, is getting a healthy share of profits from "1." It also suggests some possibilities for follow-up releases to continue the "1" momentum (and these are strictly their ideas): expanded editions of ``Sgt. Pepper'' or ``Revolver,'' albums dedicated to each band members, a repackaging of the three ``Anthology'' sets (or, we think a DVD version!) and widespread bootlegs, and compile their TV appearances. (All in our lifetime, we hope!)

It would be good to see the Anthology Series in a more accesible price... http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

What would be really great would be remastered versions of the albums, now that the Beatles have everyone's attention.

This week, the Beatles' greatest hits album, "1", is at number six on the USA album charts.

I'd like to see their "Christmas" records compiled and put on one CD.
