From Keith Badman (thanks, Keith!):

Hi Steve,
My new book is to be called "The Beatles: Off The Record" and will feature The Beatles' story in their own words using approx 90% of interviews and quotes taken from the sixties, and not from hindsight, three decades later. There are original interviews from the time it was happening, for instance the promotions of a new single, album or tour, etc. The book also features key interviews with people like George Martin, Brian Epstein, Alistair Taylor, etc, etc. Many interviews have not been seen in print for 30 years, many never ever seen in the States and many have never been in print before. I guess the U.S. price will be around $30/35. The official release date is in October. I'm quite proud to report that the foreward has been written by Hunter Davies.
Please keep in touch,
Best Wishes,
Keith Badman

Keith Badman, author of the just published "The Beatles: Off the Record," is looking for people who may have some funny/interesting stories from when they attended the 1968 'Hey Jude' television recording. He says "it's for a short piece in the Yorkshire TV '100 Greatest Number One Records' show, due for transmission in January in the UK."
