Interesting discovery in Dutch Broadcast Archive. Mr.Colin Nawrot of the Broadcast Archive in the Netherlands discovered 30 sec of 35 mm filmfootage. It's a pre-study of the Yellow Submarine. In 1967, the TV Cartoons animation filmstudio in London asked the young Dutch designer Paul Driessen to make some drawings before film production started. It's was a so-called line test. Apple claims all the copyrights and wants the original film footage. The Dutch Broadcast Archive may keep a copy of the film.
And then there's this, also from Jan-Cees ter Brugge:
The Dutch Audiovisual Archive found 40 minutes of rough unedited film footage of the Beatles in Holland june 5&6 1964.Some of the material will shown on TV tomorrow evening (Oct. 5) 20.45 local time.Probably it will be from their boat trip through the Amsterdam canals. The well known newsfootage was used in the Anthology TV series. (It was there where John Lennon saw a boy with a cape, Neil Aspinall bought the same day one in Amsterdam and they were copied in Hong Kong and used on the photograph in Austria from the cover of "Help!") The new material will be compiled for a new film about the Beatles in Holland.
And another report on this from Bertus Elzenaar :
At the Dutch Audio, Film and Video Archive (Nederlands Audiovisueel Archief, NAA) is footage found of the Beatles in The Netherlands. This footage was unknown and contain unreleased matererial of interviews and autographs given by the Beatles at the journalists. The footage has a length of 40 minutes. A selection of the footage can been seen on tv on the Dutch channel Nederland 3, 20.45 hour (Dutch time) in the programme “Andere Tijden” on Thursday, October the 5th.
Greetings,
