The MJI Broadcasting radio syndicate will air a three-hour

have been the late BEATLE's sixtieth birthday. The special will
feature new interviews with PAUL McCARTNEY, GEORGE
HARRISON, RINGO STARR, GEORGE MARTIN and YOKO ONO,
among others, and include the premiere of the previously
unreleased Lennon song "Help Me to Help Myself" that will
appear on the upcoming "Double Fantasy" reissue.

How long have you had it? I went to the web site and it doesn't have a list of stations playing it yet.

I've had the song for a few years now. It's on a bootleg CD that's got a bunch of unreleased Lennon demos. It's just him at the piano or with a guitar. It's one of the best bootlegs around. I'm pretty sure it's also got the original recordings of "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love" that the other 3 Beatles used to make the "new" songs for the Anthology.
Anyway, "Help Me To Help Myself" is a pretty good song. The demo on there is only about 2 minutes long. It's John at the piano, and the song is really unfinished. It's also strangely religious at times. But all in all, it's an unreleased Lennon song - which in my book is good no matter what.

Help Me To Help Myself is a good song. The line "Well, I tried so hard to stay alive" must have seemed so unimportant when John was writing this in mid 1980! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
