BTW, the Monkees were a ploy by Screen Gems to copy the success of the Beatles. A huge casting call was placed to find the members for the group.

i have always loved the monkees. And you can totally tell the copied the Beatles! BUt they still rock even if they are only a copy. But will never be better than the Beatles. No one will.

Perhaps you are being a tad sensitive, I am surmising that you are of the tender years pursuasion, so do not fear, you will develop a Walrus like skin in time! btw, Although it is blatently obvious that Davey and the boys were copying The Beatles big time, I have always believed that it was the sincerest form of flattery, so why not? They did manage to produce some good stuff of their own in time after all, and The Fabs did a fair share of 'flattery' themselves at times. Love & Hugs
