Am I allowed to post a trivia question here that I don't know the answer to? I mean, I know Dan Davis is credited as the author of the liner notes of the Yellow Submarine LP US release, but he's not listed in Bill Harry's Encyclopedia of Beatles People. Is there any chance "Dan Davis" was a pseudonym for Derek Taylor? Any of you trivia buffs know?

Of course, feel free to post any Beatles trivia-related question here, whether it be one you know the answer to or not. I can tell you that Dan Davis was not a pseudonym for Derek Taylor or anyone else, he was his own person... I know there was a Dan Davis involved with a group called the 'Flying Pigs', he did some drumming for them and a few other things, but whether this was the same Dan Davis who did the Yellow Submarine liner notes I can't be sure of.

Thank you very much! That's a good start, and essentially all I really needed to know (i.e., that it wasn't Derek Taylor in disguise). If anyone else has more info on Dan Davis, though, I'm all ears. Thanks! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/viking.gif
