Does anyone else experience an "excitement" whenever you hear the Beatles? Almost like a feeling of everything being right. You have an unmistakeable desire to memorize the lyrics, purchase more albums, watch more interviews. It is almost a wish that you WERE your favorite beatle. If you are experiencing these symptoms, you are hereby diognosed with Obsessive Beatles Disorder (OBD.) Welcome! You'll fit in well among the rest of us.

OBD is a disease? Well get me to a hospital, I'm a terminal case!

Yes, I too have OBD. I first contacted it in 1963. There is no cure known to man, but there is medicine you can take to ease the symptons.
Listen to as many Beatles songs, interviews and watch all the videos you can. Also, surf the net and find all the sites you can on the Beatles. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif

OBD isn't a disease, it's a drug. You want more and more of it. Lots of it.

Who needs a cure anyway? Spread this disease immediately!!
Actually, I think it sounds more like an award, 'Sir Paul McCartney, OBD' and perhaps we should treat it as such. I hereby award Penny Lane the order of the OBD for outstanding services to Beatledom!!

Sherri, do you have anything positive to say???
pat
Jul 20, 2000, 03:11 PM
I'ts OK Penny, Sherri is possibly not quite as mature as she needs to be for this kind of discussion. Or maybe she is not really a Beatles fan, not everyone is you know!

Sherri, you may not be "weird" but you can't spell for beans. Judging by the misspelling of that word, should I guess you are about 7 or 8?? Hell, I think my 6-year old cousin can actually spell "weird." You flame others for their age, but continue to be the most mentally immature person here.

I love the Beatles. How many times have I repeated that phrase in my life? I wasn't around during the 60's, which is so horrible. I get so excited when I hear a Beatles song on the radio. I have to play my air guitar in the car or my room or wherever I am. I have a list of Beatles references in everyday life. I saw Ringo in concert last month, and he was fantastic. When Paul comes out next time, i'll camp out in front of the ticket booth so I can see him. I could write an essay on my OBD, but I won't. I just wanted to say how wonderful the Beatles are!
Did I tell you I need them, every single day of my life?

I have a really big obsession for the Beatles too! I must absolutley must have them in my day all day, if I don't I feel there's something really missing. I get really excited everytime I hear the Beatles on the radio or over a store intercom, or store radio, and I get excited everytime I see the Beatles on TV, I'm constantly looking for something Beatley in the TV guide to watch. I just LOVE the Beatles!! Life is a whole lot better with them.

I think that 'with a little help from my friends'
I could cure my disease, considering what said 'Dr.Robert',after some treatment I 'getting better'.
But when the 'sun king' go down,'I'm so tired' and 'I need a fix because I'm goin down',so 'I want tell you' that when I think of them I can only say : 'I need you'.

Hee hee this is funny. I have this disease... More like a blessing... It doesn't matter where I am, but a Beatles song will nearly always play. Actually, they play them all the time where I work (I'm a server), so I walk around all night singing Beatles to my tables. It makes everything a little more fun! images/icons/grin.gif *
