I finally got my scanner up and running, and here's the first picture I found. It's from way back in high school, but it's so lame! That's Brett on the left as George. And that's me second from the right as Ringo.

Just some other dudes from high school. We also made a license plate with the LMW thing, but you can't see it here. It's not a bug, but at least it's a VW.

We went to Taft High School in Woodland Hills, CA. But the picture was actually taken on a street between our grammar and junior high schools.

Yeah, me too. I was a sole Beatles fan in a high school full of Blue Meanies. (HMVNipper could relate to that. We had Blue Meanies, Apple Bonkers and Fiendish Thingies for classmates to a large extent. Some were nice, but we can identify with being the sole inveterate Beatles' fan in a nowhereland of a high school). I could not have found others willing to cooperate with me on this one during those years.

Great picture!

Geez man, where did you dig that up from? Trying to remember what year that is, I am guessing circa 1987 since the car on the right was my first car, actually my mom's old car. Too funny.

Nah, that was the only LP cover we did! I do have other pictures you guys would probably like to see. Like the real Blue Jay Way street in the Hollywood Hills. George was staying in a house on the street when he wrote the song. And then there's Lennon's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I also have some from the Dakota building in NYC, along with a few from the little Strawberry Fields area in Central Park dedicated to him, and the Imagine mosaic on the floor there. And finally, I did my little Lennon peace sign pose in front of the Statue of Liberty like that famous 70s picture. I'll have to dig around for those if you're interested.

Great pic, Jerry! Lynner and I have some similarly silly pics of us and her sister (and mom!) reinacting famous Beatles poses! So if you're lame, you're in good lame company! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Rel' when you told me to check out your comments on this topic, I knew EXACTLY what you were going to comment on. For the rest of the readers - In the early 80's, Rellevart came to visit. We were messing around re-inacting Beatle poses and decided to do Beatles '65 (the umbrella pose). Being one Beatle short, we asked my mom to help out and Dad took the photo. It was goofy, but fun! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

VERY cool pic, Jerry!! I think it's fun that you and your friends were interested enough to "recreate" the album cover! I do have one fun Beatle memory from High School myself (though Beatlebangs is right, most of my peers didn't understand my infatuation with the Beatles and could've cared less). I remember that I got together with three other girls and did some silly thing in a school "talent show" in which we wore Beatle wigs and actually got up on the stage to mime to the Chipmunks' version of "She Loves You!" It was very weird, but a lot of fun...it was pretty funny!

I should go through my pics too and see what I can post somewhere - I live about a mile from the Dakota and have a ton of piccies of that and other Beatle-sites in NYC, but I have to find the darn things...they're in a box someplace...but Jerry, I'd love to see more of your pics!

My one shining Beatle moment in high school came in my junior year. I persuaded the faculty to let the stage band and myself perform a mini-Beatles concert in the auditorium. We did every #1 song plus three others. Our finale was "Hey Jude". It was a magical night for me.
