Has he? I heard this rumour somewhere online, and haven't been able to get it out of my head since. They say that just after the Heartbreakers signed a record deal, Tom Petty slipped into a coma and they replaced him with Paul McCartney in a cruel hoax. Months (or years, I dunno) later, he died in that coma and Paul McCartney remains Tom Petty.

Say it isn't so! I won't believe it! It's not true!! Or is it!!? Waaah...

Well Ive heard the Tom Petty is Dead rumor but thats full of holes. But this seems to make perfect sense...!
