I finally took my butcher LP out of the box it's been in for 5 years, and I was a little disappointed. It looks like a 2 year old peeled it, pasted the cover back on, and then peeled it off again. But it was very cheap, maybe like $40 or something. It's probably worth all of $42 by now.

Sigh - I remember when you could get a peeled Butcher cover for $50 or so at Beatlefest. This was about 15-20 years ago. Can't believe that I thought that was too much money and passed on it.

there was a letter on ebay tonight from Capitol Records recalling the butcher cover. It basically said that the "art satire" picture that the Beatles had sent them had caused enough public outcry that they are reissuing a new one.
