Does anyone live near any roads that have some kind of reference to the Beatles? For example, I live near the following streets:

Abbey Road, Cavern Road and Penn Lane.

Do you think I should "borrow" the Penn Lane sign and add the extra Y? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

About a block from my house, I think there's a street called Bluebird something. And the real Blue Jay Way is about 15 minutes away in the hills of Hollywood.

Well, there's a George Street in the city, but that's named after King George I unfortunately. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

I've just remembered that there's a street about 10 minutes drive away called Clennon Rise. Wouldn't mind living there. (If the C was lost)

I had a Sgt Pepper Steak dinner at a Chinese restaurant. A tangent from places into things and made up from real.

It was delicious. the yellow submarine sandwich wasn't bad, either.

I bet if they converted Subway into a yellow submarine they'd get a lot more business. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

How about a Beatles food store. Can you think of other items?
Strawberry Fields Forever pie.

They could open up a chocolate store called 'Savoy Truffle'... Creme Tangerine, Montelimar, Ginger Sling, Coffee Dessert, Cherry Cream, Coconut Fudge... MMMMM! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

If you want some more silly foodstuffs, check out the book "She Came in through the Kitchen Window" - a cookbook loosely based on Beatles songs. It's a hoot! I'm thinking of having a theme party using all recipes from this book! Wanna come? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I grew up around the corner from Liverpool St. My mother still lives in the same house & there is a little cul-de-sac off Liverpool St. now called Abbey Lane. I guess they couldn't make up their minds whether to call it Abbey Rd, or Penny Ln!

I think Abbey Lane sounds a lot nicer than Penny Road.

Hiya Nowhere Man!

Yeah, I agree! I don't think Penny Road would've been quite as nice!

Hmmm...I once had a friend who lived in a neighborhood with a Penny Lane...which was right around the corner from her house on Linda Lane...which was also near Lois Lane (and I'm NOT kidding about that one -- even if it isn't Beatles related). Do I detect a theme here?

Yeah, I don't think I could have lived there...I could never tell anyone I lived on Lois Lane with a straight face, NEVER!! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif You have to wonder what was going through the mind of the person who planned the community, don't you?
