This is kinda off the subject, but i thought that some of you may find this interesting,
yesterday just before 11:00am there was a 6.8 magnatude earthquake only 11 miles form Seattle, Washington. Even though the quake was 30 miles below the earth's surface, it caused some bad damage.
Most of the damage was in Pioneer Square, one of the oldest parts of the city. The windows in the air traffic control tower were all blown out, and there were many injuries, and 1 death due to a heart attack during the quake.
My cousin lives near Seattle and she luckily is alright, she was at school when it happened.
i live across the state, and i was walking around during it, so i didn't really feel it, but you could almost faintly tell it was happening.
Just thought some of you might have been interested to know what s going on here in the world!!

Yeah! Some of the damage was brutal! They had I thinnk 3 after shocks, but they were only like a 3.6 or something like that. There were 21 injuries and one death as Chey said. It was freaky! Even some of the people here in Spokane felt it! there were some people in the Space Needle too. I've been up there, and it swayed even when there wasn't an eartquake. Think how scary it was DURING an earthquake!

Just imaging being up the space needle during an earthquake. It be a kind of 'spare underpants' time really wouldn't it. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

We do watch the news, believe it or not... when we climb out of our boxes anyway. There was also a shocking train de-railment in northern England which killed quite a lot of people... and Sir Donald Bradman passed away here the other day, Australia's greatest sportsman and Aussie icon, certainly the best cricketer the world has ever seen.

Yes, we also have TV. I saw some stories of the quake and it was not so bad I think, compared to some of the many earthquakes, windstorms and floods that touch the world last couple of years, where so many were killed.
I am glad your family LtlRingo/Lennon is OK, it's nice to share these feelings here.
Open a newspaper and most of the things you read are terrible.
So time to enjoy as long as you can.http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
