There's going to be a total lunar eclipse late Dec. 20/early Dec. 21, 2010.
Apparently, it's going to be the darkest night since 1638! And on the first day of winter, no less.
More info here, including hours: http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2010/12/20/strangers-in-the-night-lunar-eclipse-solstice-meet-again/
So, who's going to sit out in the late hours/early morning and watch the moon turn red? I know I am. :teeth1:

'Tis unfortunately a bit cloudy here in Phoenix, where we rarely have clouds. They might impair our view.

Unfortunately, nothing will be visible tonight where I live—not even a giant orb in the sky! :cry3:

It isn't just a bit cloudy here, it's completely gray skies at 2:30(in Hawaii might I add), I feel like it's 6 o' clock already. I haven't a hope of seeing it. -sigh-

Seriously!
It is cloudy where I live too, but luckily it's light and the moon is shining through it. I just hope I can see the eclipse once it really starts...which should be now.
And to top it off, someone down my street is playing cemetery-like music really loud. On the "darkest" night of all nights. How creepy!

It snowed last night so I didn't get to see anything.

The clouds were really light where I lived, so I got to watch the moon disappear and then reappear. Luckily, the sky cleared when it was completely covered. It was so dark, but it was a great sight to see. My friend captured some amazing pictures too. I should try to post them on here for you all to see.
