John Lennon costume

Hi Beatlelinkers!! No time no hear. :wave1:I haven't been here for quite awhile, but have moved from the country back to the city of Perth in Western Australia so it's been a busy few months.
I wasn't sure where to put this thread, so if the mods think it's best placed elsewhere, please feel free to move it.:teeth1:

I'm seeking advice or ideas from the John Lennon experts. I'm going to a Superstars and Legends party on NYE and want to go as "Lennon Legend". I'm female, but with my brown just-short-of-shoulder-length hair, and I also wear glasses, I could probably get away with a 1968 John???

What do other Beatlelinkers think is the most popular and easily recognisable John??? Oh and if I have to hire a full length beard from the costume shop...I can do that as well!!

Any tips or ideas would be great!! Sorry, but I can't convince the hubby to go as Yoko, coz he's already made up his mind that he's going to be Slash. (Old Metal Head from way back)

i weant as john when the study hall i was in had a party with the theame of dress as your favorite musishion
i'm a female as well um. i have dark enough hair its was actualy the working class hero hair cut. though i wore a green shirt and a jean jacket like from the white album i wore jeans with that. so you have the hair style right for the white album years now you need is a green shirt and a jean jacket

On Yoko's Twitter Q & A, someone asked her how a couple should dress if they wanted to be John and Yoko for Halloween. "All white or all black" was her answer.

Thank you for the suggestions. I've decided to go with 1968 John at the You Are Here exhibition as I found a white suit jacket in my local costume shop and also the round glasses! Anyone have any idea what the tag was that was attached to his talisman necklace???

Will try and upload a photo GB (so we can all have a laugh!) in the new year.
