Because of the bird thing, people always call New Zealander's kiwis.

Just as us Aussies are sometimes referred to as 'Skips' - in reference to Skippy the kangaroo.

That is sad that the kiwis are heading towards extinction, they really are adorable lil things.

Welcome, Flaming Pie. I just arrived here about a week ago, and I'm from Chile. So it's true, there are people here from almost every continent (although I feel a little alone in here, specially when I can't express myself correctly in English, and that has happened a couple of times http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif)

There is an other word to replace 'rude' which is called 'teasing'.

Yeah, it's just unfortunate that sarcasm and teasing is sometimes hard to get across in the written word. I'm sure people would spend much less time being offended if they could hear the tone in everyone's voice and realize they were just kidding! i wish so too Rellevart, but the sad thing is, that their "sarcasm" is hurtful, and even though they are joking it is not something to be sarcastic about. i've had friendships torn apart because of things like that, and i am going through another struggle right now.

Of course I do, they're from Wolverhampton - which is where I once lived for 6 years. They were the most successful UK group of the 70's - had the most number 1's.
