Is it just for me all the way down here in New Zealand or is everybody else's local time a couple of hours out too?

Do you mean the time that shows when you post something? If so, I think it goes by the Pacific time zone. It's always 2 hours behind for me in Louisiana (central time zone).

I think it's simply to do with the fact we live so far away from everyone else... and the right time just takes a little longer to reach us.

No I mean the times at the bottom of the main forum page. There's a time there for Aukland, NZ that is 2 hours behind. New Zealand is even further ahead than everyone must think!
The ones when I post something are so far out for me - not just a few hours. You all must think I'm crazy at the times that my posts say I've been on if anyone takes that in...it must look like I'm up all night online. I don't do that kind of thing, you know. I'm not that weird.

... and Nowhere Man, I think you must be right. I couldn't have put it better myself.

Tee hee! I know you're not, but I know people that are THAT weird! It's terrifying, you know?

Don't quote me on this, but I think when Jerry and Brett made this site, they tried to cover all the time zones they could. Each zone is suppose to show the current time as you see it. Lucy, if I'm right, you should be 20 hours ahead of whatever time is shown for the Pacific Time Zone and 12 hours ahead of GMT.

Lucy : It's that "International Date Line". You're always ahead of us. Take Care,

I know this much for sure - all of the times on the actual posts are Pacific Time. But on that "World Time" thing, I think it's just showing the current time in several different cities in the world. Right now it's about 7 AM over here in Los Angeles, and it says it's about 12 PM in Sydney. Is that right?

It's 9:36 here in Chicago. The Central Time Zone. I have a friend who move to New Zealand. What town do you live in, Lucy? She lives in Auckland. I think i spelled it right. Her name is Amanda. She's 13. I'll try to tell her about this site, cause she loves The Beatles too! I think I still have her e-mail address, or address, or phone #!

The Sydney time is spot on, since here in Brisbane we're an hour ahead.

The Sydney time might be right but the Auckland time is 2 hours slow. We only have one time zone in NZ so that is the same for me here in Wellington (so you know, Emily!).

Not that it's a big deal or anything - I was just wondering if those world times were wrong for anyone else.
GV: I understand the dateline thing and the difference in times when I post because of the Pacific time...I'm talking about those world times given for some cities around the world on the main forum page http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

Thanks everyone for being all concerned and checking this out for me!!

Kiwis... they'll always find something to complain about. If it's not about losing the rugby to us, it's gotta be something else. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

Nowhere Man : We like to tease LUCY once in a while..... When I lived in Arizona, We never went to DAYLIGHTS SAVING time because it got so warm in the evening nights and everyone outside the Mountain Time-Zone had our hours confused.

Lucy : I know what you were referencing..http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
By the way, I don't think the Cook Strait has anything to do with the clock problem while crossing over to the city of Nelson. Just teasing...http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
