Hello everyone, sorry I have been absent lately, but my computer died, had to get a new hard disc, then the modem wouldnt work, one thing after another eh, anyway, I am still lucky, at least I didnt have to cope with a fire at Christmastime. I notice I've been fired as moderator, understandably, I mean the first requirement has to be to actually, well you know, MODERATE! sorry if I let you all down, it really wasnt intended, and I hope that I can still contribute in a meaningful way.

How are you all? have I missed anything? Any gossip, how about that '1' album outselling everyone, as if we are surprised. Anyway, I am really happy to be beack, I've had major withdrawel symptoms, missed you all like mad, and cant wait to catch up

HAPPY NEW (BELATED) YEAR! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif

Well, Pat, you might be disappointed to know that Len-Mac doesn't come around much anymore. I must say, there's a bit of a void 'round here http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif Oh well.....such is life!

Now, that's just not even funny, you know? Why would you even want to joke about something like that?

Seldom do we let folks get away with complete tackiness in our forums, Nowhere Man, and I want to thank you for cleaning it up on your own. If you're having those kind of thoughts often, drop me a line... I've got an ear you can't break and it sounds as tho you need to bend someone's in a serious way.

Sleepyhead... what are you insinuating?

Jami... I'd reply, but I don't want to offend anyone. Seems that's all I ever do.

Nowhere Man, you do not always offend people here. The majority of the time you make us laugh. Just wanted you to know we care about this site as much as the next member here. Let's just forget this subject ever came up and move on.

He's a real Nowhere man,
And he's an Australian,
Mating with koala bears for nobody.

Doesn't have a digery doo,
Wouldn't touch a kangaroo,
Isn't much like Crocodile Dundee.

Nowhere man, please listen,
We know what, you've been kissin',
Nowhere man, the world is not amused.

He's as blind as he can be,
Lost his sight to an Aborigine,
Nowhere man can you see me at all?

Nowhere man, don't worry me,
Oz still belongs to Her Majesty,
Leave it all to England, we'll keep it clean.

He's a real Englishman
Sitting on his poor ol' gran
What they do is the business of nobody.

Doesn't have a single clue
Knows not what he's putting her through
Isn't he not a bit like you and me.

Englishman, please listen
We know what you've been missin'
Englishman, your gran is not for your command.

He's a typical English swine,
She looks just like Frankenstein,
Englishman you know it's not right at all?

Englishman, you're a worry
Hop off your gran and say sorry
Leave it all till somebody locks you away.

Doesn't have a lot to do
I shall lend him my didgeridoo
He will have a lot of time to play-ee.

Englishman, that's what you ge-et
For treating your gran like a pe-et
Englishman, hear the bars as they slam.

He's a real Englishman
No longer sitting on his gran
She is safe and he-e is with nobody.
She is safe and he-e is with nobody.
She is safe and he-e is with nobody.

Wasn't there another word matching with Frankenstein, like

An Englishman who is doing fine,
although they all look like Frankenstein,

and I would certainly skip or change the verses coming thereafter. I don't know the 'gran' but it seems to me that there is no need to refer like that out here.

'Gran' is short for grandma, or grandmother, if that's what you weren't sure about.

I always thought that those who used a computer to communicate were a little, shall we say 'touched' you lot confirm all my suspicians, yer all nuts!

Anyway, Len-Macs jingoism strikes a chord in us Irish....here is my contribution, enjoy...

Hes a real nowhere man,
looking for anothers land,
stealing any other land, that he can do.

Kick the natives off their soil,
all rebellion he must foil,
any culture he can spoil, that he will do.

English man, please listen,
stay at home, keep missin,
all the things that make you want to change our lands.

He just doesnt have a clue,
doesnt see our point of view,
doesnt do a single thing for nobody.

Nowhere man, please hurry, take your
pies and your 'curry' take them back, to somebody else, who understands.

Hes a real Englishman,
taking everybodys land,
Making sure that cultures live,
for nobody.

Sorry if it sounds a bit savage, I just couldnt resist when the old anti-brit in me came out, but its ok really, 'cos us Irish are just as conradictory, my favourite place after Dublin is Liverpool! (and my Mum was English! not to mention I was born in Devonshire!) so I AM entitled.

Apropos all the nastiness in this forum, I cant help but feel that there is a bit of hyper sensitivity going on, and I can understand why, but remember people, not everyone is like 'Sherri' so maybe we could lighten up a bit? In saying that, a little sensitivity from those occasional offenders wouldnt go astray, what I am saying is, PLAY NICE PEOPLE!
