Hi there. Welcome to Beatlelinks. I know you'll love it here.

There are a number of young fans here, I think the youngest is 12. I, personally am 17.

I'm sure you'll get some strange responses here, but don't get scared as everyone here are very friendly.

I'm 44 but also young and fresh and this board certainly keeps you updated on the Beatles and you will be surprised how much knowledge there is around, also with the young ones.

Welcome aboard rellington, you'll feel quite at home here no doubt. I'm 21 and only really got into the Beatles fom last year on, though I've always been aware of their genius - now I'm a devoted fanatic like everyone else here. I wish I could play the guitar though! Maybe one day.

I'm also about to start my Honours thesis at uni (in English) and am thinking about bringing the Beatles into my research somehow - together with film possibly - if anyone has any ideas that might help me drop me a line!

I wrote a huge essay in college on the Paul Is Dead thing. It was the best paper the professor had ever read. Check out Mr. Harb's site for (way more than you'll ever need) details.

Welcome, Rellington. I am also 48, but a father of two, and I have been playing the guitar since the Beatles first became known to me. The current band I play with do 90% Beatle songs. We're not a tribute band, don't dress like them or anything, just are really inspired by their arrangements.

Jerry - thanks for that! You've just given me an inspirational train of thought to follow! I have an idea or two now, I'll give Harb's site a visit for sure. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

BTW, the star above your name is a ranking as to how many posts you've made. The more posts a member has, the more stars and a different "title".

I'd like to welcome you as well, Rellington. I'm 27 years old, and desperately devoted to the Beatles. It's a nice feeling to come to Beatlelinks almost everyday to read all of the knowledge these people have! It's amazing! It's also refreshing to know I'm not the only one who's so freaky for the Beatles!

Welcome rellington. Enjoy your visits here. By the way, you can edit your profile, and add a little image if you'd like. There are a ton of images to choose from.

P.S. - Don't worry about the "Fool On The Hill" thing. If you post enough, that will eventually change.

I don't remember what I set the values at! I think I made the first few rungs on the ladder pretty low, and then the next several steps are further and further (or is it farther and farther?) apart. But I'm sure somebody around here remembers how many posts they had when their name changed.

While you are on the fool on the hill thing. I was wondering when exactly the titles change, how many posts?

Here are some more tips for you rellington. Your e-mail address is viewable to everybody already (the little "Mail" image below your posts), so you really don't need to put that at the end of your messages. Also, in the Edit Profile section where you chose your user image, you can add a signature that will appear at the bottom of all of your posts. You can put that //o-o\\ thing there, or a quote, or even a link to your own web site if you have one.

Jerry: A little grammar lesson --
"farther" refers to distance,
"further" refers to degree. OK?
