This is not Beatles-related, but I care so much for all of you on this site that I feel I must share my experience with you. Last week, I had a grease fire in my kitchen. It happened, as all accidents do, very suddenly and elevated rapidly. By the grace of God, I had a kitchen fire-extinguisher at the ready and was able to douse the flames. I called the fire department and New York's Bravest arrived in minutes. They disconnected the gas lines, moved the stove and checked to be sure all was well. If I hadn't had the extinguisher, Lord knows what would've happened. Please be sure to purchase an appropriate extinguisher for each floor of your home because you never know when a potential tragedy will occur. I'm still shaken up, but, very thankful. I pass this advice to you because I want you to be prepared to protect yourself if the need ever arises. (May it never.) Merry Christmas, my Beatles Buddies!!

Rita or Pat: Please delete one of these messages. I don't know how I managed to post the topic twice, but I did! Sorry...

Thank goodness you weren't really hurt. I had a friend that had second and third degree burns on her hands after a grease fire. I can easily see how you were so shaken up I know I would be too.

I am very sorry for you, specially when this happens this time of year. Glad you were not hurt.

Also bear in mind that an automatic fire alarm, which lookes like a UFO, is very important to have installed in basements, near (not in) kitchens, which takes about 5 minutes to install and are cheap. Many fires in houses start during sleeping hours.

George, you're so fine, but beware of lawyers, they can hit you, they can hurt you. We are still Apple Scruffs., I'd have the album anytime.

OFan, I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt. We have two extinguishers in our home. One near the kitchen and another hanging in the hallway.
