Most of you know that Brett created VHLinks.com, which this site was pretty much based on. But what about the first site we created together?
Well, in the internet auction craze, we decided to create a free and more defined alternative to the bigger sites like Yahoo! Auctions and eBay. So this is what we came up with... http://www.autoparts-auction.com
We figured somebody wanting to buy or sell auto parts would want to have their items more visible, rather than lost among eBay's 4 billion items. While that's probably true, it more or less didn't work. Without any publicity, people don't know about the site. And when people actually find it and want to post items or bid on items, they're reluctant to because they're aren't too many items on there in the first place!
Anyway, the site is still active. And there are some parts up there all the time. Every once in awhile one will get bid on and even sold too. But ever since VHLinks and this site came along, we've more or less had zero time to work on it. We'd like to sell it actually, if somebody ever offered to buy it. I still think that if somebody had the time, effort, and cash to put into it, it could carve out a nice little piece of the internet auction pie.
Just thought you'd like to know what we were up to before we were bitten by the Links craze. Anybody else out there running other web sites besides your Beatles site?

I don't, but Sleepy does. One site is in memory of our son. He would have been 13 if he were still alive. She does have another site that is religious based.

Some of it may be too much, but I really think she has done a great job with it.

Bearkat, I had a look and you can be really proud to have such a site, with the family feeling and memories hanging all around.
It's a work of art and love.
regards, Rob

Hiya, guys! I haven't forgotten y'all, and I do still check in once in awhile to see if everything's still cool over in the books section (gosh, literate folks are so non-troublesome http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif ), but I have been really tied up transferring our original site from some weird url 50 megs gave us to one that is easier to remember. While I've been transferring all the files over, I've also been upgrading the site a bit. Now, Kat tells me he got a letter concerning his FIVE (not one) sites with 50 megs... looks like I'm gonna be busier than a long-tailed dog in the middle of an 8-lane California freeway during rush-hour!! At any rate, you can check out my original site (IN MEMORY OF ROBBY) at http://inmemoryofrobby.50megs.com in it's newly revamped style. I'm not really planning on any major upgrades for Kat's 5 sites yet, but it will still take time to transfer all the files http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif
Thanks for your kind words about Robby... gosh it feels weird to know I've been a mother for 13 years!!
Y'all have a good un, and I'll be sure to at least leave a note next time I pop in.

Finally! I've got all the files transferred to the new urls. Sheesh! It took longer than I thought it would. Now, i can maybe actually sit down and put something meaningful up on those sites (they look pretty lame right now http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif )
At least, I have time to actually visit now http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

Thank you, OFan, for your kind words. This past November was rather painful - he would have been 13. Sometimes I want to cry that Kat has no son he can teach boy things to. It's rather dismaying. Obviously God had other plans, but sometimes I just can't help myself, I just want to cry.
