Celebrating John's 70th

Is anyone doing anything special to celebrate John Lennon's birthday this weekend?

I have some really cool friends who want to celebrate with me... even though they aren't super Beatle Freaks...just casual fans. We're going out to dinner and then listening to some CDs and hanging out.

I wish Nowhere Boy was playing nearby....

Tomorrow (Thursday) night I'm going with this guy I'm dating to a photography exhibit in Hollywood ("This Boy: John Lennon in Liverpool"), and on Saturday I'm going with my best friend to see the Fab Four's tribute to John. I was also going to go to the celebration at his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but I have a family obligation during the day...

Of course, like every October 9th since about 1973, I'll be singing THIS song all day long...

Been out today with a close friend an celebrated John's 70th birthday :teeth1:

Noticed uncut had an John Lennon special while I was out enjoying the nice weather in a bookstore. So I picked that up, and read bits and pieces. Got "Double Fantasy, stripped" as an present, so I'll be listening to that later, and perhaps some more stuff from the boxset.
