I have it on good authority from a friend of Georges that George and Olivia went to see Sai Baba again in 1999/2000 and George couldnt stop raving about the guy!! :)

It's wonderful to see yes however there are easy ways to do this

1. invest time :teeth1:
2. register at "Google Alerts" which you can do in 20 seconds per artist or whatever subject and you will receive a daily newsletter with all 'new and old' articles/blogs/videos which have to do with in this case George Harrison.

Well, this time I was just curious about George and Sai Baba and searched Youtube! This video was actually uploaded in 2009, so has been there a while! I was pleased to find it!

I have it on good authority from a friend of Georges that George and Olivia went to see Sai Baba again in 1999/2000 and George couldnt stop raving about the guy!! :)

See, I was wondering this! I had been reading actually about MJ seeing Sai Baba, and that got me wondering if George had continued his interest in him. Some people think the reference in Rocking Chair in Hawaii was to Sai Baba~

I am more inclined to think George means "the Divine Father's - Divine Mother"... in the eyes he sees the Mother of God.

Has George ever been quoted speaking about the lyrics?

When I thought about Sai Baba though, and his relationship to George, I wondered if George had kept up with him. I know some believe that Sai Baba had healing powers, and - I am not speculating, but saying it may be related to the visit in 1999/2000, and possibly to the fact George's health improved at that time?

It seems George was very impressed though!! That's very interesting!

yeah but registering for search results is not going to come up with videos of George Harrison and Sai Baba!! This is about as rare as it gets!!

I spend alot of time searching for this stuff myself and have alot of rare stuff, silent footage at friar park etc, but Im still blown away when i see 'new' stuff like this!!

the rocking chair may have a double meaning but is probably more in the general spiritual sense yeah..althouigh im sure sai baba was on Georges mind and rockin chair sounds like it could have been recorded (FINALLY in this form) around 98-99 ish?! the song itself in its original form dates back many years..

Ive enevr seen any interviews with George on it though, probably cause it was an 'unreleased' song he probably never publically spoke about it..

It namechecks him aswell..George was possibly reintroduced to Sai Baba through his old friend "Don" who is really into him...

It's a good find, no doubt about that and I am glad you guys enjoy it.

I just wanted to add some online search methods off topic and you will be surprised what you can get from Google, Yahoo or MSN also in relation to George like very rare stuff.

I did not know of a Sai Baba that much even though ofcourse the name Bagwhan says more, but if I would have and would want to know more then a simple "George Harrison + Sai Baba" in Google takes you to the video in a few seconds.

Anyways, no problem, just offered some info.

I think even in this video George is applying vibhuti (healing ash).

I think George was feeling a little ill around 1977, if I am not mistaken... I think he was speaking of seeing Sai Baba along with a trip to a wedding of one of Ravi's nieces? But he was going to rest a while in England first before making rounds to see Sai Baba again. I am not sure if he was going specifically for healing ash.
