I know, right? :laugh5: That's what I loved, too! I was going through all these articles which had these little details never included in books- so fun!!!

There is! This Bangla Desh article is great... I am so laughing about the fan- Dylan fan- "kept muttering, 'It's too much. It's just too much.' " :laugh2: Love that bit!!! That's how I felt seeing Bob when me and you saw him all those times! Bob inspires that reaction in his devotees!!! :laugh5:

I saw one article from '68 on when the Fabs saw the Maharishi ... and George was handed a globe upside down and told "that is the state of the world today"... so he put it up straight and said something like, "then we're gonna right it like this again..." awwww....

Well when you get Every grain of sand, trying to get to heaven and I'll remember You, played while standing right in front of the man, you why wouldnt you go a little crazy?! :laugh5::laugh5:

yes these articles are SUCH a great find..all these little details like the upside down glove, Pauls mrs Shiva story and red sneakers at the white house are all things never really published in any books..it is just such an amazing source of material and added extra info for those that like to be in the know!! such a great resource..and with the beatles who so much has been written about there are very few original and primary resources around now..most info is secondary, written 20, 30 years after the fact with their own spin on things..to actually SEE this original stuff is fascinating, like your actually there at the time..amazing.

Google is great, but if you have some time to devote visiting your local public library and checking out what they have stored away can be REALLY eyeopening. Some amazing newspaper articles stored on microfilm are just sitting there being ignored...waiting for the curious soul to take the time to discover them.

I can almost guarentee you would find something worth giving up your afternoon for.

I love it! I've seen the video when Harold Sr. and George get out of the limo. You can really see where Harold Sr. left his stamp on George - his hair was even LONGER and even wavier than George's!

I had to laugh because some 15 years earlier, Harold Sr. used to moan abourt George's long wavy hair. He told George he looked like a refugee from a Tarzan picture.

Good on Jack Ford for inviting George Harrison et al. to the White House!
