I am trying to learn to play the guitar.
I want to do it quick, and I am absolutely clueless.
Give me some encouragement, friends.

Well, it's worth it. What more can I say? Just stick with it.
Also, if you go to my website, I have every guitar tab to all the songs off every album, and they're pretty simple to follow. Check them out. Once you learn one song, you'll find the next one 3 times as easy, and so on.
Thanks for the poem!

I did. Liked it, man. It's be a real biggie in some time, I think.
Tried to register too, but then, I'm a confused, scatterbrained, muddle-headed person.

Oh good! so glad I'm not the only one!!
I've been learning to play guitar for nigh on 20 years, still only know about 10 chords, which I have to read from a book, 'cos I can never remember the damned things! Keep it up though, my family think I'm a musical genius, and always ask me to play at parties (guitar, Len-Mac!!) So if I can fool anyone, you stand a good chance!

Pat, if ever you read this just tell me one thing.
I did learn a few chords but how do you play a song with the chords? Are you supposed to play strings alongwith it? Or does the sound of the song come only when another guitar is playing something else?

I play the violin.......does that count for anything? My dad can play the guitar and I occasionaly get it out and try to learn some chords. BUT, you know what I discovered about the guitar? IT'S HARD! Anyway, I'm sure you already figured that out beatlesquia! Good luck! Let us know how you progress!

Pat, knowing to play 10 chords is more than the average top 40 band guitar player.
Knowing the famous 3, maybe one more, get's you through many songs.
It's not hard to play guitar at all. Just try the 3 chords to start with and play a song for about an hour. Rehearse !

I think it's amazing you can play the violin, Lovely Rita. I always thought that the violin was the most difficult of all.

All i can say is good luck, if you were looking for a quick learn a good choice would have been the bass. I got that for Christams a year ago and after a week I could play Day Tripper, In-a-gadda-da-vida, and Drive my car, and of course Louie,Louie possible the most simple bass line in history.

I can play the piano which is brilliant. I can't stop playing Imagine. It's the one song that I can play just like the original, and I love it.
I've even done a MIDI file of it which is perfect. Anyone want to hear it?

I'm not sure about Col's piano playing Harb, but I've heard some of his guitar and harmonica playing....it's very, very good ! I think he just might be the reincarnation of Lennon !

Harb......it's awsome that you can play Imagine. Beatlesquia......it IS hard to play the violin, and now I am going to try to learn the guitar as well! I plan on getting some books and stuff, and then maybe eventually I can check out your website Lenmc, and I can learn to play some actual songs! Wish me luck everyone!
