I just read an interesting fact in the Sept. 2010 issue of Mojo magazine. The worlds most valuable vinyl record is the one that the evil Mark Chapman asked John to autograph. Not only does it have John's autograph, it has the evil Mark Chapman's fingerprints. This copy of 'Double Fantasy' last sold in 2003 for $828,950 (525,000 pounds). They said the value has since skyrocketed. They didn't say who owns it or how this person acquired it.

The Chapman copy?

I wouldn't want it if someone PAID me to take it.

That is definitely an interesting Mojo fact. I hope Sean owns it... or Paul. It really belongs in a museum.

But whoever owns it should not keep it in the house... it's definitely bad mojo.

IMHO, anything related to John's killer is tainted. I refuse to refer to that piece of filth by name and I pray his soul suffers in the hottest part of hell.

It is God's place to have mercy, not mine.

I don't know WHY any Beatle or child of a Beatle would want to own that horrible reminder of that dark day in December 1980.

Many of his final autographs are worth a huge amount since he seemed to be signing "John Lennon 1980". So they can easily be dated as late ones. So sad.

I think it's an absolute tasteless thing and I can't understand how someone can be proud to own a vinyl with MDC's fingerprints on it.

If I was rich I would buy it and burn it

If I were rich, I'd buy it and donate it to the Smithsonian. It's bad mojo, yes, but it is a piece of history...

I agree with your heartfelt comments, Snoopy. I think it's sad that such an item should become ridiculously valuable just because of a horrific tragedy connected with it. John's unique artistic talent should ALWAYS be remembered first... :teeth1:

Hello Nowhere Anne :wave1:

Thank's for your approval. I even think that this piece should have been destroyed, instead of being sold :wink2:
