Hello all.

Why don't we start to organise chat times so that we can meet each other outside of the forum. (I'm not saying it as if I don't like the forum. It's brill.)

The room to use is as follows...
http://www.startchatting.com/ccc/beatles.htm

We can use this topic to organise times to meet and such.

Is this a good idea?

We could all meet up at 3pm GMT for a chat and a glass of port?

I'm not sure of the time difference for America, but I know that it's 5 hours behind in Kentucky. So when it's 3pm here, it 10am there.

Apart from me, is anyone else gonna be there?

I'll take that as a 'no' then. No worries. I'm busy tonight, but what about 7pm GMT on Monday?

Harb, I went, registered, and attempted to find you, but I can't figure out that crazy site. I didn't know what to do. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif

Here's what to do...

Click on the link http://www.startchatting.com/ccc/beatles.htm and let the page completely load.

Scroll to the bottom until you get to a purple box with 'Multi City' or something similar in the front. There will be 2 fields. One for name and one for Password. Just enter your name and click on the button with, 'Join' on it. It should open up and you'll be in.

It's my own private personal chatroom so nobody else will be there.

I know that the state of Kentucky in America is 5 hours behind us. So when it's 7pm in the UK, it's 2pm over there. So what would that make everyone if it's 7pm in England?

Okay, I've dug me head out of the sand, Mike (LOL)... I'm not sure what time zone KY is in, but we're -6GMT... in other words, if it's 7pm there, it should be around 1pm here... I can be there, but Kat will be at work...

Jerry will be pulling his hair out if he saw all that - look on the main forum page, and there you will see the time differences for all the major states, countries, humourferes, zones, regions, legions, towns, cities, villages, etc. etc. etc.

Harb, I have a suggestion. I think that the reason that people didn't go is because of the time confusion. Because the majority of us call the colonies home, and you seem to understand the time difference better than we all do, perhaps we should base it on American time.

bearkat77
Aug 14, 2000, 06:20 PM
Harb, here's a quick run down for time zones:
Eastern = GMT -5 hr
Central = GMT -6 hr
Mountain = GMT -7 hr
Pacific = GMT -8 hr

So when you decide on a time in England, just subtract the amount of hours listed above to know exactly what time it is in America and Canada.

I was just wondering, why didn't anyone else turn up apart from me, PennyLane and LenMc?

Perhaps we should just give this up as a bad idea?
