Hello.

This is the chitchat forum, and I was just wondering if anyone had any interesting tidbits about themselves that they'd like to share? Very odd question, but I am a very odd person! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif Just curious. I have a few interesting things about me, I'd love to read yours! I am double jointed, so I can do some pretty interesting tricks with my hands. (To the disgust of my friends!) This is a very random topic, I know, but I think we may have fun with it.

I have sitiophobia, which is rare but quite serious.

I can also crack my jaw to any tune I hear, and can take my thumb in and out of joint at will. (Who's Will?)

So, I take it a "tidbit" is the same as a titbit then?
Sounds painful!

Sleepyhead, I am 5'2" and have the same leg to floor difficulty, so spend most of my sitting down time either on the floor, or with my feet tucked under as well, difficult when driving! Sitting on a bar stool is fun, I nearly need a step ladder! falling off is not so much fun though.http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/cry.gif

My fingers are sort of double jointed, I can bed them to a 45% angle, other than that I am reasonably normal. 'cept for the sense of humour, which is a bit whacky!

Don't worry, Sleepy! It can also be quite a hassle at the opposite end. I am 5'7", and still growing taller. It is hard to find somewhere to put my legs, which are quite long! It is pretty annoying, especially in a car. I have to sit sideways! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif

I used to be very double jointed (which also disgusted my friends), but after arthritis set in, I kinda lost most of my ability to do all those finger knots http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I can wiggle me ears, either together or one at a time, and I can roll my eyes either together or one at a time (which really grosses out some folks, http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif )

Ooh, wait a minute! I don't really call it a trick, more of a habit, but...

At 4'11½", I quite often found my feet swinging several inches from the floor. While this may be cute in younguns, it is quite embarrassing when you're grown. (And most uncomfortable, as well!)

So I got in the habit of tucking my right foot under my left thigh, and putting my left foot on top of my right thigh. I never thought anything of it, but I guess when you're topping the scales at 200 something pounds, it looks very strenuous or something, because I still get a lot of "How on earth do you do THAT!!!"

Because of my height, travelling in a car is a horrible experience. Firstly, I have to put my legs to one side because otherwise they jab into the back of the front seat, making us both uncomfy, and I also have to slouch because otherwise my head grazes the ceiling and it hurts like hell when the car goes over a bump.

Mind you, being 6'2" and being heavily built, it scares off a few people!

I have an ambition in my ife to get to be 6'5" tall before I die.
