The difference between boy bands today and the Beatles, is that the Beatles are talented!

Over here, I'm expected to like rubbish like Slipknot and Korn, but they're just crap. The Beatles are, and will always be the most talented, brilliant and fresh band I've ever been exposed too. Not many boy bands will still have many millions of fans 30 years after breaking up now will they?

How can you tell these trash metal songs apart? Their names.

Here is what seperates Boy Bands from The Beatles, in spite of the fact that they are both comprised of males.

Boy Bands: The kind of guys that respond to posters that say stuff like: 'Attractive twenty year old boys wanted, no musical talent required.' They are taught all that they do, have songs written for them, just sing while others play their instruments. Talent? No.

BEATLES: Formed the band themselves, wrote themselves, played music themselves, produced basically everything by themselves. Talent? Yes. Explain this to your friends the next time they bring it up.

Penny, I'm sorry to inform you but the Beatles didn't really produce all of their material. George Martin has laid claim to producing the majority of the Beatles music.

the boy "bands" of today arent bands at all. They dont play their own instruments and if they play them sometimes it still doesnt qualify them as a band, in my book. They dont write their on material and they are just a copy of a copy of a copy. You have 4 groups that all sounds the same. Yes, in the 60s this happened too, but the Beatles grew away from certain music and tried different things. Just tell them to listen to the Beatles work, and then listen to the boy groups of today and you will be able to tell they are not just a boy band.

Every generation has it's boy bands, girl bands, or some other talentless fashionable type of 'formula entertainment' dont worry, when The Beatles first came on the scene, we were laughed at too, because we didnt like Cliff Richard and the Shadows! But the proof of the pudding is indeed in the eating, and we are still lapping it up 40 years later, so we had the last laugh. And so, my children, will you. Love & Hugs.
