4. Grosvenor House Hotel, London, England
5. Grand Hotel Europe, Saint Petersburgh, Russia
6. Hotel Astoria, Saint Petersburgh, Russia

Never been to any of those. I'm not rich enough. But, from what I've heard, Grosvenor house has only unique rooms. I put George V first, because I really think it's the best, and I'm a heavy, heavy francophile.
I only walked by Savoy, Grosvenor, Sacher.

My favorite is not on the list...
The Mayflower Inn in Washington, CT. It's where I got married....
My wife walked down these stairs in her dress.....

This is the room where the ceremony took place....

It's one of the top-rated Inns in the country! If you're ever in Connecticut and have a little $$$ to stay at a really nice Inn, do it!

My favorite is not on the list (always include an "other" choice in polls!)...
The Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, CA!

Sorry, I'll do it in the future.

The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, but I only dined there not slept. I think the nicest hotel I stayed at was a Holiday Inn or Boulder Station in Las Vegas. Even the ones I stayed in in Europe were not as nice.

The best one I've stayed in is Appartamentos Noellia (Christmas in Spanish, or is it Navidad?) in Puerto della Cruz (port of the cross), Tenerife, Canary Islands in January '84. It was cool. :cool1: It had a pool on the roof, casino, etc. But the summit of the journey was climbing Picco del Teide (3720m). We went in a bus through the clouds till 3500m. The rest on foot. It was very step. 60% incline. From the top you could see the peaks of some other islands in the Canary Islands archipelage (there are 7 of them) emmerging through the clouds. It was a cloudy day.

Don't sweat it. Sorry if I came off as chastising you.
It's just better for the poll's success....people don't want to feel like they have to choose one of the choices given, and they may not vote if they don't see a choice they like.

Maaah, yeah, man, I ...just wasn't thinking. I'll put that as my sig, seriously. You were right, it's just that no one reminded me of it until you yesterday. No, no, it's O.K. Nothing to apologize about. you're a mod, after all.
I agree with you. Is it possible to replace one of the choices with 'other'? I think Bearkatt did something like that for me a while ago. I'd replace it with 'Hilton'.

I have stayed at the Grosvenor Hotel in London a few times. Lovely hotel just across Hyde Park, great for a morning walk. Twice when I was there there was an annual hairdresser congress with a lot of models :bigeyes3:

To be honest, it was the Hyatt Regency O'Hare before they changed it. That's right. Its probably close to the fanciest hotel I've been in and since I was there so much it was very familiar. Plus a lot of good memories happened in that place! :wink3: But then they changed it and took out some things I liked and I'm not into it as much.
I'm not sure if this next choice will count since I've never stayed there, but I've always been impressed by Disney's Contemporary Resort. The fact that it's open atrium style with that unique A-Frame design with the monorails going through it is just so cool! Plus I hear the rooftop California Grill restaurant is good, as well as a great place to watch Magic Kingdom's fireworks, and it's a 10 minute walk from the place! Okay, its not as 'themed' as some of Disney's other hotels, and being a Deluxe, it is expensive, but I'd love to stay there

Linda Evangelista was one of the top world models in the 80s/90s. She's of Italian ethnicity.
Estelle Lefebure-Hallyday was on of the top world models in roughly the same era. She was married to Johnny Hallyday's son, I think. She was a contendent for 'Marianne', but eventually lost to Laetitia Casta. Former 'Mariannnes' were Bridget Bardot and Catherine Deneuve, I think.

Oh ok, rings no bell, yet I am not a models guy and these were mainly 'hair' models which is somewhat different I believe and saw.
