Most days. We had a torrential downpour last night which was so loud, it kept me awake. There was also some sheet lightning thrown in as well for good measure. I was worried for my goldfish's life! They live in the pond.

England can be pretty peaceful. There was a siege here a couple of days ago. Somebody also lost a dog which was headline news around here.

England is like the east coast for you guys. Similar weather. New York can be dull and cloudy, so can England. But we get the good stuff too, from time to time. I love clouds - big white ones, when the rest of the sky is really blue. You can sometimes make out funny faces and things in them!

Its not always cloudy in England, sometimes its cloudy in Ireland. It rains a lot here, I mean, A LOT. But it is very very green, and very pretty. And nearly always mild, no extremes for us. We have our fair share of crime, too, not all of it terrorist related, in fact where I live, not ANY of it terrorost related, but there is a continuing drug problem in our cities, as everywhere else. We do, however, have Guinness! What a consolation!

I live in Wellington, New Zealand and I actually own a pair of Beatles underpants!
They are black and say in white writing accross the front "We Can Work It Out". I bought them in a little shop in Liverpool when I went on my big Beatles-trail at the beginning of the year. I couldn't get the ones I really wanted though - they say "I've slept with Ringo Starr" or which ever Beatle you like! Very classy!!
I wanted the whole set (of course) and the woman in the shop said they were getting more in and she would send them over to me because I was going to leave England before they arrived. That was in Feburary and I'm still living in hope!!

I'm from a little town called Troon (famous for golf courses and not much else) It's a tiny seaside town - about 5 miles from the birthplace of Robert Burns, our national poet......the one who wrote "Auld Lang Syne"

It's not too far from the Mull Of Kintyre, i've been to Campbelltown a couple of times, but i've never seen him though. Although i have spoken to people who have !! My ex-girlfriend has seen the farmhouse from a distance. And my only other claim to fame is that my old primary school mate's (Innes Thomson ,where are you now?)Uncle was one of the pipers on the "Mull Of Kintyre" record.

I travel up to Glasgow every day to work in the city.......ummm, i think that's about it.

Hello Glen!!

Beatlefest was a truly amazing experience this year. It was my FIRST YEAR GOING, if you can believe it, and after that weekend, I am a totally changed person. A lot of people probably think I'm nuts but just being around so many people who were all brought together for the same reason totally moved me. I will be there every year forever! I hope to some day make it out east or west for the LA/New York fests!!!

Take care,
Amy

I've only been able to attend two Beatlefests, so far. I sent Mark and Carol a message to see if they could have more of them down south. Louisiana is a far reach from NYC/LA/Chicago areas.

Rock on, I'm the only one from Maryland so far.
I will hopefully be going to my first Beatlefest this upcoming summer I was so excited that I went into school and had to tell everyone. They all thought I was nuts "You mean you're going to Chicago to spend three days with a bunch of old people that like the beatles?" Geez some people my age can be so unenlightened.

Hey HeyBeatle, maybe you could go to the 'fest in New York in March. It's the weekend of the 16-18th, I believe. That's a heck of a lot closer than Chicago, and sooner too.
And as for those poor misled people who think there's just a bunch of geezers there, well, maybe one day they too will see the light.

I'd love to go to the New York beatlefest but the fun-nazi...excuse me I mean, principal at my school wouldn't think of Beatlefest as a good reason to miss school. Besides I figure, if I wait till the one in August I can use the money from my birthday, that is only a few days before, and buy beatles memorbilia to my hearts content or till I run out of money which ever comes first ( obviously my money will run out first)

Whoa Glen, that's cool that you like Utah so much...however! You wouldn't if you lived here! It's basically run by the Mormon church. Drinking, smoking, and swearing? ALL ILLEGAL!! Guys can have more than one wife. What does the state do about it? NOTHING! Girls in polygamist families are forced to marry their uncles!...I just hate it here so much. Someday I'm gonna get outta here.

And BTW, most of my family lives in Colorado and they love it. I think the city they're in is Aurora (?).

Tennessee is very beautiful indeed. I was lucky enough in that my girlfriend's aunt works for Alan Jackson (takes care of his kids) and we all went there last summer to stay with them and got to meet him, etc. Does that guy have some cars or what.
